Toretto made his fourth start at Gulfstream Park Sunday racing 7 1/2 furlongs on the grass.

Luca Panici sent Toretto out quickly and the son of Handsome Mike, who was 7-1 on the tote board, settled nicely into third place and remained there down the backstretch. Coming to the turn, Panici swung his colt three wide and Toretto took the lead into the stretch, but by this time the favorite was rolling right behind him. Toretto collected $4,000 for third.

The Circle 8 gelding has a second and a third to show for his four tries and he’s earned $12,315 to date.
